Instructor:  Rauni Prittinen King, RN, BSN, MIH, HNB-BC,CHTP/I  is the Co--Founder and former Director of Programs and Planning and Lifestyle Change Program at the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine in La Jolla, CA. She has over 20 years of experience in critical care nursing and is a certified holistic nurse. Rauni is Founder and President of Holistic & Integrative Medicine Resources, Inc. Rauni is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Instructor who has been coordinating Healing Touch workshops at Scripps Hospitals since 1993, and teaches Healing Touch in the United States and internationally. Rauni received her BSN from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Integrative Health from National University, a program she created. She has a degree in Interior Design, is certified in Hypnotherapy, a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association and Healing Touch International where she currently serves on the Board of Directors. Rauni created Healing Touch of Finland in 1998 and has been teaching since in Europe, India and North America. For her work she received the Trailblazer award from the Scripps Health Foundation.  Rauni has published in peer reviewed journals and recently contributed the Energy Medicine chapter in the Weil Integrative Medicine Library of Integrative Cardiology. Rauni integrates holistic healing practices with conventional medicine, creates healing environments and sees herself as a bridge in this process.
